Immigration Minister David Cunliffe has signalled changes to NZ’s immigration policies that should benefit visitors from Fiji. From November there will be a new multiple visa visits for parents and grandparents of family residing in NZ. The new visa allows for multiple visits over a three year period without having to apply each time.
These changes by NZ signals support for families, especially at this time with things being difficult in Fiji and it is something that Fiji residents in NZ have been lobbying Government for. The changes should result in more visits by family members and reduced cost and less hassle in the paperwork required.
